Mälartåg Prices and Conditions
When travelling with Mälartåg after 12 December 2021, fixed prices apply. This means that the price for your chosen route is the same whether you buy it a month or an hour before departure.
Mälartåg Single Ticket Adult
You can buy a single ticket for travel on Mälartåg's four lines at malartag.se and the Mälartåg app. Mälartåg single ticket is an impersonal ticket valid for a specific departure and route with Mälartåg.
The right to travel at a reduced price
Children and Youth
When traveling with Mälartåg, you are always allowed to bring up to two children aged 6 or under per paying passenger.
The conditions for accompanying children apply to Adult and Youth/Student tickets, as well as the Movingo period ticket, regardless of where you purchased your ticket.
Additional accompanying children beyond two per paying passenger travel at a discounted price (youth/student).
Student
To get a student discount, you need to be studying at a rate of at least 75%. It must be possible to verify the rate of study with an ID document and a valid student ID with the SL symbol.
Travel with more carriers than Mälartåg
If you are travelling with more than one carrier, you need to buy a ticket through Resplus.

Rebooking
Mälartåg's single ticket purchased in our app or on Malartag.se can be rebooked up to 1 hour before departure time. Rebooking can only be made to the same route and passenger category as the original ticket. For rebooking contact Mälartåg Customer Service.
The Mälartåg single ticket is non-refundable.
